Denim – Denim apparel in good, clean condition is acceptable attire in the Grill, Terrace, Patio, Pool, Parking Lot, Pro Shop, Locker Rooms and Club Offices at all times.
No denim apparel is allowed on the Golf Course, Putting Green, Driving Range, Practice Facility, Tennis Courts, Fitness Center, Dining Room or Banquet Facilities.
No overalls, no cut-offs, no frayed edges, no holes, no excessively baggy or loose denim, no visible midriff, no visible undergarment.
Clubhouse: The following attire is not acceptable:
· Shorts, skorts or skirts higher than 5" above the knee (does not apply to tennis)
· Gym shorts
· Tank tops (sport)
· Cutoffs
· Swimsuits or swimwear of any kind
· Tee shirts
· Sports jersey
· Wet or soiled clothing
· Exceptions to the dress code will be theme parties and other designated events. The General Manager must approve prior to the event
Grill, Dining Room and Banquet Rooms
· Shoes and/or sandals must be worn. (Exception-pool area).
· Soft spikes are not permitted in the Dining Room or tennis courts.
· Hats are not to be worn by either gender in the Grill Room, Dining Room or Banquet Rooms. An exception will be made when hats are worn for medical reasons.
· Trousers, or other types of clothing that clearly are extreme in size and that cause the clothing item to hang loosely from the body, or that may expose areas of the body or visible undergarments, are prohibited.
· Tee shirts or other tops exposing the mid-section or other areas of the body are not acceptable.
· Shorts, of any kind are not allowed in the Dining Room during dinner, but are allowed for breakfast and lunch.
· Golf attire is acceptable in the Grill Room, Dining Room and Banquet Rooms.
· Tennis attire is acceptable in the Grill Room and Banquet Rooms.
· Tennis player warm up suits may be worn in the Grill Room and Banquet Rooms
Terrace/Patio
· Golf and tennis attire is acceptable
Golf Course/Practice Facilities:
Shoes:
· Marin Country Club is a soft spike only facility.
· Regardless of gender, all shirts and blouses shall be tucked in unless designed to be worn outside, i.e. banded shirts or blouses.
· Visors or hats should not be worn backwards or sideways.
Men:
- Long pants or golf shorts no higher than five inches above the knee.
- Collared shirt, sport or turtleneck shirt.
Ladies:
- Long pants, golf shorts or golf skirts no higher than five inches above the knee.
- Golf shirt, turtleneck or shirt intended as golf apparel.
Tennis Courts:
· Soft spike golf shoes are not permitted on the tennis courts.
· Proper tennis attire and footwear are required at all times.
· All players must wear shirts.
· Men must wear collared shirt, sport or turtleneck shirt.
· Tee shirts, denim and cutoffs are not allowed.
· Visors and baseball caps shall be worn forward.
Pool:
· Swimwear is only allowed in the pool area
Members/guests/children are expected to change to appropriate attire before utilizing all other areas of the Club. Change of clothes must occur in the pool locker room
