Junior Tennis Schedule

Have your kids learn the sport of a lifetime?
After-school clinics: Every Wednesday from February 3 to November 24.
(Small group or private lessons can be set up with Head Tennis Professional Jerry Mehciz from December 2 to January 27)
Friday afternoons are reserved for junior private lessons. Simply call the Pro Shop at 382-6729 to set times and dates!

Swingers (5-7 years old): from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Hitters - Beginners (8-12 years old): from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Players - Intermediate/Advanced (9-14 years old): 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Members with guests are welcome!

Cost:

Swingers - $5 Member/$7 Guests

Hitters - $10 Member/$12 Guests

Players - $15 Member/$20 Guests

Junior Tennis League for Intermediate/Advanced players starts in February
with matches against local tennis clubs beginning in March.

Our summer camp programs, which include golf, swimming, tennis, and fitness begin mid-June and continue through mid-August.

LADIES TENNIS

We have a variety of levels and teams for women at Marin Country Club. Our motto is, “It’s not what you do, but how you look!” …and we have fun looking good here at MCC!

SCHEDULE:

TUESDAYS – B-2, 3.0 practice 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

WEDNESDAYS – B-1, 3.0-3.5 practice 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

THURSDAYS – C-1, 2.5 practice 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

FRIDAYS – A-2, 3.5-4.0 practice 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Congratulations to all of our teams for an outstanding 2009. Here are some highlights:

- Our C-1 team moved up to B-2, creating our 4^th Marin League team.

- The 2.5 team, led by MCC Member Michelle Taylor, made it to the district competition.

- MCC’s 3.0 team made it to the playoffs, just barely missing the districts.

- Our 6.5 Combo team also made it to the districts by beating the previously unbeaten Petaluma Valley Athletic Club.

Again, congratulations to all of the ladies who participated on our fun teams!

MEN’S WEDNESDAY NIGHT OUT – 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Drop-in for levels 3.0 and higher.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNINGS – Senior men round/robin 8a.m.-10:30 a.m.

OTHER TENNIS SERVICES

Tennis clothing for men and women and tennis balls are always available in the MCC Pro Shop.

Tennis racquets, demos, and accessories are available in Head Tennis Professional Jerry Mehciz’s office, as is racquet stringing.

We have a top-quality ball machine that is complimentary for MCCTA members (must call Jerry at 382-6729 for times and availability).
